It always feels like a special time when one visits Watkins Glen.� Not just for the beautiful woodland that surrounds it, but for the feel that the place gives out.� It has an aura of history that wraps around one?s soul as soon as one enters the place.� So much has happened here over the many years, road racing in North America was almost born here, and in that sense it reminds me of a trip to Spa-Francorchamps, Le Mans or the Nordschliefe.� So many racers have pedaled cars over this tarmac, so many of the great have won here, and far too many have lost their lives here.
