Rain hands Edwards Martinsville pole

Chase leader Carl Edwards and his Roush Fenway team-mate Matt Kenseth will start Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Martinsville from the front row after Saturday's qualifying session was cancelled. The field has been set based on the owner points standings, which place all the title contenders on the first six rows of the grid. Points leader Edwards will start from pole position for the first time at the half-mile venue in his Cup career, while Kenseth will be on the front row for only the second time there.
