Monras on top in second F2 practice

Miki Monras made the most of an increasingly dry Spa-Francorchamps to set the pace in Formula 2's final free practice session. The Spaniard remained within the top five for much of the session, before moving to the front in the final ten minutes with a 2m09.124s - at the time more than half a second clear of the field. Mihai Marinescu cut that advantage to 0.498 seconds as the chequered flag fell, the Romanian moving into second to equal his best practice result so far this season.
